OCTOBER 1-Flight DFW to Rome.

OCTOBER 2: ROME - MONTECASSINO / SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO

Arrival at Rome Fiumicino Airport. Transfer to Montecassino to visit the Abbey. Lunch on your own. Transfer to San Giovanni Rotondo. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.

OCTOBER 3: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO - MONTE SANT’ANGELO

Breakfast.Celebration of the Eucharist. Guided tour of San Giovanni Rotondo, where we will stop in front of the crucifix from which he received the stigmata in 1918, the confessional where Father Pio spent so many hours of his life, visit his tomb and learn about his great work. Throughout this tour, we will be accompanied by aEnglish-speaking guide who will introduce us to the spirituality of Father Pio and the cultural and historical context of that time.

In the afternoon, we will travel to Monte Sant'Angelo, where we will visit the grotto of Saint Michael the Archangel, the place where tradition says the Archangel Michael placed his feet. Free afternoon for shopping. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

OCTOBER 4: SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO - LANCIANO - CASTELLO DI SEPTE

Breakfast. Transfer to Lanciano, where the first Eucharistic Miracle took place, which occurred around the year 1700, when Father Basilio (who had doubts about the presence of Jesus Christ in the bread) saw, during the proclamation, the bread transforms into living flesh and the wine into blood. Celebration of the Eucharist. We end our day at the 8th-century Castello di Septe. Dinner and overnight stay.

OCTOBER 5: CASTELLO DI SEPTE - ASSISI

Breakfast. Departure for Assisi. Upon arrival, the hill of San Francesco and its medieval streets, which still retain the atmosphere of the early 13th century, are dazzling. Dinner and overnight stay. Guided tour. We will visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, inside which the small church "La Porziuncola" is striking. We will take a guided tour while seeing the rose garden, some possessions of Saint Francis, and a series of frescoes depicting his life. Then we will go to the Basilica of St. Francis, where we will pray before the tomb of St. Francis and St. Carlo Acutis, who teaches us that the Eucharist is a highway to heaven. Celebration of the Eucharist. Free afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.

OCTOBER 6: ASSISI - SUBIACO - ROME

Breakfast. We travel to Subiaco, where St. Benedict lived. Upon arrival, we will marvel at the Monastery of St. Benedict, which stands on a rocky promontory. We will visit the Benedictine Abbey and the famous grotto or cave where he spent the first years of his monastic life. Celebration of the Eucharist. We continue to the city of Rome. Overnight stay.

OCTOBER 7: ROME - PAPAL AUDIENCE - VATICAN CITY

Breakfast. Transfer to St. Peter's Square to attend the Wednesday Audience presided over by the Holy Father. Afterwards, we will visit St. Peter's Basilica, guided with meditations and reflections. It is the largest basilica in Christendom, built on the site where St. Peter was martyred. We will adore the Blessed Sacrament and visit the tomb of John Paul II. We will see works such as Michelangelo's Pietà and Bernini's bronze canopy among others. Free time to enjoy this beautiful city. Overnight stay.

OCTOBER 8: CHRISTIAN ROME

Breakfast. We will tour Christian Rome. We will begin at Santa Croce in Jerusalem, which contains relics of the Passion of Jesus brought from the Holy Land by St. Helena. Celebration of the Eucharist. We continue our day by heading to the Holy Stairs, which according to tradition, were climbed by Jesus before his trial. We will visit the Basilica of St. John Lateran where the nuns will explain how art leads us to faith through different sculptures and paintings. We will pray before the relics of St. Peter and St. Paul (in this church, St. Francis of Assisi asked the Pope for recognition of the Franciscan Order) and we will end our day at the Basilica of St. Mary Major, the Marian heart of Rome. It was the first church dedicated to the Virgin Mary in the West, where the sky stopped in a miraculous snowfall. We will pray before the tomb of Pope Francis. Overnight stay.

DAY 9.

OCTOBER 9: ROME - FIUMICCINO

Breakfast. Departure for Fiumicino Airport to take your flight. End of our services.
